Negotiations
This information is for
an Employer and Union who are already participating in the Plan.
From time to time, through collective bargaining, the Employer and
Union may agree to an increase in the benefits they wish to provide
to Plan Participants. The Supplement Form should be used to
implement such an improvement in pension benefits.
Please be advised that, on March
31, 2009 the plan actuary of the National Integrated Group Pension
Plan (the "Plan") certified that the Plan is in critical status for
the plan year beginning January 1, 2009. As a result, in
accordance with the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and the
Employee Benefit Security Act of 1974, as amended by the Pension
Protection Act of 2006, the Board of Trustees is not permitted to
accept your request for a Supplement to your Participation
Agreement.
